An opportunity has now arisen for an IT Manager / Senior Systems Administrator to join their team.

This role would suit an experienced systems administrator with a strong skill set looking to further their career with a leading company.

As an IT Manager / Senior Systems Administrator your focus will be on maintaining and providing support for our client’s IT systems.

You will be responsible for network administration for over 100 users and the performance and security of servers and management of firewalls and routers. You will also manage and support all communications infrastructure including fixed and mobile telephone systems, mobile devices, remote access and video conferencing.

Your other duties will include:

- Ensuring back-ups are adequate – Sourcing, evaluating and recommending new hardware – Installing and managing e-mail systems

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- Extensive experience in a systems administrator role – A diploma level qualification in an IT or engineering discipline – Knowledge and experience of some of the following: VMWare, Windows, XP, Vista, Windows 7, Exchange, SQL Server, Blackberry, Cisco, VPN Client, Firewall, Anti Virus, Backup and disaster recovery

As an IT Manager / Senior Systems Administrator you must have excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills coupled with an organised approach.

Although not essential, a degree in an IT or engineering discipline would be a distinct advantage to your application.
